Acrylic
Acrylic is a general purpose plastic often known by its brand names Perspex or Lucite.
Its chemical name is Poly methyl methacrylate or PMMA. Acrylic offers impact strength approximately 8 times that of glass and has similar UV resistance to your exterior car or house paints, being the same chemical. We often use Acrylic to manufacture point of sale displays or display cases. It is also often used to replace glass in picture frames as it offers a 90% better UV resistance than glass. Higher UV materials are available along with higher impact versions and antiscratch material.
